The above formula gives the relationship between the Modulus of Elasticity (E), Modulus of Rigidity (G) and Bulk Modulus (K)

Modulus of Elasticity (E): it is the ratio between the normal stress and normal strain of a material in N/m2.

Modulus of Rigidity (G): it is the ratio between shear stress and shear strain of a material in N/m2.

Bulk Modulus (K): it is the ratio between the normal stress and volumetric strain of a material in N/m2.
